What does my monthly rent include?
Monthly rent at Brasstown Manor℠ covers a wide range of services designed to support both independent and assisted lifestyles. These include all electric and water, garbage service, any maintenance to your apartment, grounds keeping, parking (if needed), use of all common spaces throughout the building, daily activities and programs for entertainment and enrichment, emergency call system for each apartment, and scheduled transportation is available for an extra charge.
For our assisted living residents, this also includes assistance with all daily living activities such as grooming and exercise, three meals per day served in the dining room, monitoring of self-administered medications, assistance with scheduling appointments and transportation to the appointments, all personal laundry, and linen and housekeeping services.

Do the rooms come furnished?
The rooms do not come furnished. We strongly encourage all residents to personalize their own rooms and make it feel like home with furnishing and pictures. We may be able to help furnish an Assisted Living room if you or your loved one are in need. We are unable to furnish Independent Living suites

Am I allowed to decorate my apartment?
Yes, you may decorate your apartment to your own personal tastes and desires. All apartments come with wall to wall carpeting, all kitchen appliances and mini-blinds on all windows.

Do you have a beauty salon on the premises?
Yes, our beauty salon is open several days a week for wash and sets, perms, manicures, pedicures and massages. They also do haircuts for men.

How do I receive my mail?
You will have a private mailbox that the postal service delivers to daily. You may also mail letters from the same location.

Are we allowed to use the common areas when entertaining visiting friends and family?
All common areas are available for all residents at anytime. Our Assisted Living area has a large living room, screened porch, and a patio with many plants and flowers.

Can I have overnight guests?
Yes, you may have overnight guests in your apartment. Brasstown Manor also has a Hospitality Suite that may be rented for a small fee.

Are pets allowed?
This can be discussed as an option for Independent Living.

Are there cable and phone hook ups in the rooms?
Yes there are!

Is the staff here 24 hours per day?
Our team is in the building and available 24 hours a day, seven day a week. For our assisted living units, there are two emergency call systems per room for 24 hours a day service.

Are there semi-private rooms?
All rooms in our Assisted Living area are private rooms with private baths.

Are there activities for me to do throughout the day?
We have a full time activities director who plans activities for each month. At the beginning of each month you will receive a calendar with all activities listed for your choosing.

Am I allowed to leave the building with family and friends?
At any time, our residents are permitted to leave the building with notification to the front desk.

Is the building secured?
Yes, Brasstown Manor has a 24 hour security system. There is also a fire detection and sprinkler system for each apartment and throughout the building.
